For those who have the passion and creativity to innovate solutions for a better world, Tata Technologies InnoVent provides the skills and guidance they need to develop solutions that address the challenges in the manufacturing industry. Our hackathon aims to ignite the passion for innovation among engineering students, foster collaboration, and provide a platform where they can showcase their talent and scale their ideas.
This year’s theme – Innovating the Future of Smart Mobility – invites engineering students to leverage AI, Generative AI, Agentic AI, IoT, Embedded Software, Cloud, Digital Twin, and AR/VR to innovate breakthrough solutions that tackle the most critical challenges faced by the mobility industry. The Projects can span the entire mobility value chain, ranging from software-defined vehicles and AI-driven embedded intelligence to autonomous agents, agentic AI solutions, sustainable mobility solutions, intelligent manufacturing systems, and immersive, human-centric driving experiences. Winning projects will get recognized with cash prizes worth ₹4.5 Lakhs, paid internships, and special recognition for breakthrough ideas and functional prototypes.
Along with Amazon Web Services (AWS), we aim to upskill young engineers with the innovation tools, technologies, and mentorship needed to drive breakthrough innovation. Tata Technologies Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) will mentor the top-performing teams, helping them scale their projects. Shortlisted teams will gain access to AWS cloud credits after stage 1 evaluation, along with expert guidance from AWS’s global developer community.

Smart mobility is entering a new era—defined by intelligent technologies, human-centric design, and sustainable engineering. We see its future in the integration of intelligent autonomous systems, software-defined platforms, and connected ecosystems. In partnership with AWS, we’re launching InnoVent 2026, focused on shaping the future of smart mobility. From AI-driven vehicle intelligence to sustainable mobility innovations, this is a platform for young engineers to reimagine and shape the future of how the world moves. Key stages
Our 3-stage project selection process comprises a detailed evaluation of the project concept according to the evaluation criteria, plagiarism checks, and assessment by SMEs, leading to the selection of the top 3 winning teams.
Stage 1 – Project registration
Teams need to register by submitting their project application form. Once the application form passes a plagiarism check, a panel of experts will review all submissions and shortlist the promising projects.
Stage 2 – Virtual POC presentation
The shortlisted teams will present a technical presentation and virtual Proof Of Concept / Prototype on their project to a panel of SMEs. The top teams from this pool will then advance to the final demo round.
Stage 3 – Final demo day
The top shortlisted teams will demonstrate their Proof Of Concept / Prototype to our jury panel in a physical event followed by a Q&A session. The top teams will be identified as winners.

Eligibility criteria
All final year and pre-final year diploma/engineering students pursuing B.E., B.Tech., and Dual Degree programs in India can participate in InnoVent.
/ Project registration – 24th Jun ’25 – 30th Jul ’25
/ Virtual POC presentation – Sep ’25
/ Final demo day – Jan ’26
